In August last year, OCI Power was selected by the Korea Electrical Safety Corporation as the contractor for the “Purchase and Installation of Energy Storage Systems (ESS) for the ESS Safety Evaluation Center” project. The company supplied PCS, batteries, EMS, ESS fire protection systems, and other equipment required for the center, completing the project in March.
Having participated in the construction and operation of numerous solar power plants across Korea, OCI Power is the country’s leading manufacturer and supplier of large-scale solar inverters. Through close collaboration with specialized partners possessing expertise in the design, installation, and maintenance of ESS and power systems, the company provides optimized ESS deployment solutions.
In particular, OCI Power strives to maximize customer value by providing systems designed to minimize risk through technologies integrating various battery systems with PCS, thereby ensuring economical and stable operation.
Based on these technological capabilities, OCI Power has not only supplied an ESS to the ESS Safety Evaluation Center but has also carried out ESS projects totaling approximately 66MWh in Korea, including the “OCI Gunsan Plant ESS” project and the “Korea Rural Community Corporation Hwaseong District Solar-Linked ESS” project.
OCI Power’s competitiveness and technological capabilities will also be on display at the company’s booth at the International Green Energy Expo, scheduled to take place at EXCO in Daegu from April 24 to 26.
At the exhibition, OCI Power plans to unveil a diverse lineup of new products, ranging from Korea’s highest-capacity string inverter and a large-scale inverter offering world-class efficiency and scalability of up to 8MW to a 50kW power module for EV charging.
