OCI Power, an environmentally friendly renewable energy company that develops, manufactures, and sells solar inverters and PCS for ESS while conducting solar EPC and IPP businesses, will participate in the International Green Energy Expo opening at EXCO in Daegu on April 24 to unveil its new products for 2024.
OCI Power develops solutions required for solar power generation at its in-house R&D center, which possesses advanced technological capabilities, and manufactures the developed products at its Gunsan plant.
Drawing on its extensive experience in constructing and operating solar power plants, supplying equipment, and deploying ESS systems in Korea and overseas, the company is maximizing customer value in the renewable energy sector. Its flagship products include solar inverters, ESS systems, and EV charger power modules, while the company also conducts solar power generation businesses.
OCI Power provides highly efficient and reliable solar inverters, offering solutions designed to ensure stable and economically efficient operation of customers’ solar power plants.
In 2020, OCI Power became the first company in Korea to independently develop a DC 1,500V inverter and has since supplied approximately 600MW of DC 1,500V central inverters. Visitors to the 2024 International Green Energy Expo will be able to see new products and service solutions incorporating OCI Power’s technological expertise.
At the exhibition, OCI Power will showcase a diverse product lineup ranging from small-capacity string inverters to large-capacity central inverters and power modules for EV chargers. The newly developed OP130 MMS TL OD, designed by OCI Power’s R&D team, has a capacity of 130kW, making it the highest-capacity string inverter in Korea, and supports up to 12 MPPT channels.
The product also provides smart O&M capabilities, including an I-V scan function for checking string conditions. Another new product, the OP1100 TL-H OD, is a 1MW-class outdoor central inverter recognized for its world-class efficiency and high output. Through parallel operation, its capacity can be expanded from 1,100kW to a maximum of 4,400kW.
Visitors to the OCI Power exhibition booth will also be able to explore the company’s ESS business capabilities, which provide optimized Energy Storage System deployment solutions based on advanced technologies and systematic operational expertise.
OCI Power’s ESS systems integrate various battery systems with its independently developed PCS and integrated operating technologies to provide fast, accurate, and highly reliable systems designed to minimize risk and ensure economical and stable operation. Recently, OCI Power was ranked as the top qualified bidder in the technical evaluation for the Korea Electrical Safety Corporation’s “Purchase and Installation of Energy Storage Systems (ESS) for the ESS Safety Evaluation Center” project and completed the project in March.
In addition, OCI Power plans to use the exhibition to promote its flagship products and business models while introducing its “Aging Inverter Replacement Business” and “Inverter Performance Improvement Business,” sharing OCI’s vision for green energy and future value driven by solar power generation.
The International Green Energy Expo, in which OCI Power will participate, is Korea’s largest renewable energy exhibition and is ranked among the top three in Asia and top ten worldwide. The event is hosted by Daegu Metropolitan City and Gyeongsangbuk-do Province and jointly organized by EXCO, the Korea Photovoltaic Industry Association, the Korea New & Renewable Energy Association, the Korea Wind Energy Industry Association, and the Korea Hydrogen Industry Association.
